THE MCCLURE LEGACY

I am honored that you have stopped by for a brief visit! If you don't know me already, I am Lauren McClure Forrester. I love to show off my beautiful family, just like all Moms do!  My husband Todd and I have been married for 23 years, and have two children-London, our young actress and soccer girl, who is 12 years old and Lincoln, who is 10, is our little actor and future scientist. I love to spend time tickling, giggling and playing with them and just can't get enough of their kisses, hugs, nosey nosey or snuggles, especially with them quickly growing into teenagers.

Portrait artistry and photography has been a part of my entire life. I grew up walking the halls of my family's portrait studio in awe of the stunning imagery that my father had uniquely created for his customers. I naturally studied his work throughout the years providing me with a love for visual artistry, and developed gift in composition early on. 

When I was just 15 years old I began assisting him and learning about portrait photography and artistry. As a junior in high school, we created a game plan for my pathway of education so that I could join my dad in the business.

Our family business, The McClure Company, was started by my father, Dan McClure in 1981, when I was a toddler, focusing mostly on Commercial Photography. In 1988, the named was changed to McClure Studio, leaving commercial work behind to focus mainly on Portraiture, as my father discovered his gift for working with people through his early photography career at UGA and through his commercial projects.

I joined my father in business in 1997 while working through college. In 2000, after attending college for Business and Photography, I took over as full-time Studio Manager and fully started my career in the industry. 

Through the years, I have served in many roles at "McClure's" (as many say) and photographed hundreds of families, children, babies, births, pregnancies, youth, high school seniors, athletes, sweet 16's, actors, professional business people and athletes, events, weddings, real estate and commercial/ad work.

McClure's has a legacy for the experience we provide to our customers as we create exquisite and personalized imagery for your family.  Our product offerings are unique and are heirloom quality.  Although we closed our full-time studio in 2015 and sadly my Dad passed away in 2020, I continue to carry on the amazing legacy we built over the last 43 years!
